Diabetes is a global epidemic that affects many organs including the foot and leg and causes more lower leg amputations than any other disease.
Bigfoot are community leaders in preventing diabetic foot ulceration. We are educators in this field and share our extensive knowledge training nurses, GP's, and support groups on the latest assessment and treatment tools to prevent ulceration. Bigfoot currently works with community diabetic foot programs to prevent ulcers before they require hospital treatment.
Book for an annual check with Bigfoot if you have Diabetes and any of the following apply to you:
- Have never had your feet assessed by a podiatrist/GP or Diabetes Nurse specialist
- Your feet have blisters, callus, corns or ingrown toenails
- Have had a foot ulcer or amputation
- Experience foot, shin or knee pain when walking
- Feeling calf cramping when sleeping or walking
- Experience numbness or burning in your feet and legs
