We have been helping Craig along with many of his other sponsors to get to ironman. Craig is an amazing Kiwi bloke who has been to the depths of depression and through exercise has overcome some huge battles both mentally and physically. His journey began 3 years ago when he lined up for IM 2012 but due to weather this was postponed. Not one to give up he lined up again for IM 2013 only to be struck down by a heart condition a few weeks before the start so he watched on as a supporter for his brother.
2014 was to be his year - he completed IM 2014 and in doing so been an ambassador for many others. He has raised money for both Mental Health and the Heart Foundation. I am sure we will hear and see Craig more as he contonues this amazing journey. Cheers to you Craig!

I have finally done it! After a couple of false starts I have finally completed the Ironman which three years ago was just a dream for me. Yes completing IMNZ was a massive day for me personally but the whole journey was so much more than the race. There were plenty of tears when I crossed the line.
For this journey to have been deemed a success I wanted to help in some way break down the stigma attached to Mental Health, raise awareness about heart health and to help change at least one person’s life for the better. I can honestly say that in the days following the race from all the messages that I have received from complete strangers that all the goals that I had set for myself were well and truly smashed.
When I started out three years ago with the dream of competing in Ironman to raise awareness for the MHF and this year for the Heart Foundation I didn’t in my wildest dreams think that I would get the backing from so many fantastic businesses. I still find myself thinking why would anyone want to back just this normal kiwi bloke? But you did and from the bottom of my heart I thank you. Words can’t actually describe how thankful I am for your support over this journey of mine. But please be reassured that you were a massive part in helping change a lot of people’s lives for the better.
So what now for me? I have already set some person goals for myself around events throughout the year but most importantly I will continue to work closely with the MHF and Heart foundations in helping raise awareness for their charities. I am also going to get into Triathlon coaching where I can give back to the sport that has helped save my life. I have this thought where I can run a programme through the foundations each year where I can coach and mentor a group of people for free to help them to better lives. Any thoughts that you may have on how I could make this successful would be muchly appreciated. It would be great to have you stay as a partner for me when I am coaching where if I sent clients your way they could get some sort of benefit but this is something we can discuss when I am up and running. Obviously these are all just thoughts at the moment but I do like to set rather hefty goals for myself!!! I will also be keeping up with my website with my day to day ramblings.
